Nagging and... Snobs?
Did you ever think that mothers are a bit nosy? Or maybe a bit... naggy? They complain and complain about how your hair looks, what you're wearing, how you're walking, how you're eating, when you sleep, when you wake, if you fix your bed or not. Of course, this does not apply for all parents but it does for me. My mom was nagging me today about how I eat. She tells me I have plenty of time to eat before I go to school. So I was like, "Mom... you can't expect me to finish a bowl of hot steaming oatmeal in 10 minutes." She was like, "10 minutes?! Why, you leave at 7 something" and there goes my argument...
So I was expected to finish my breakfast in a matter of 10 minutes. Well... I finished it in 15 minutes. You see, I'm rather fat for my age (which is not going to be displayed because what if my friends are reading this? This is supposed to be a personal thing). But does it look like I care? Not really.. Humans only live once and I guess everyone has a different life every time they're reincarnated if you believe in that. My mom is being the kind of person that you don't want to have in your next lifetime.
Sometimes, it's better if you nag people less. Maybe some will learn to appreciate you being here. Or if you were nicer with words. Maybe it's your personality but at least try a few times to you know... be nice. Of course, there are those that do not know what is "nice". Please do not think of the preppy girls that talk in that atrocious accent and stuff. Be yourself. That's all that matters. I do not believe that ANYONE talks in that dramatic tone. People want to improve themselves to fit in with others. THAT IS NOT NECESSARY. Instead, others will detect that change and feel that you're too influential by the things around you. Your friends may not want you to change, so why? If too big a change is taking place, everyone will feel awkward and you may be left alone in the end.
How did we go from my mother to friendship? I do not know. But, just be who you are and try to be nice once in a while. Nice as in kind and helpful. Please do not misinterpret the meaning of "nice".
